Daniel Levy out for blood as Tottenham plot Crystal Palace revenge by signing 21-year-old star

Tottenham Hotspur have had a very weird summer transfer window so far. The club seems to be having endless money this summer and Daniel Levy looks prepared to spend. However, so far, they have struggled to convince their preferred targets to come to the N17.

Among the many players that Spurs tried to sign this summer, one of them is Eberechi Eze. The English attacking midfielder was heavily linked with a move to the N17 and the club had agreed terms with him, only for Arsenal to swoop in and hijack the signing.

One of the main reasons Tottenham failed to sign Eze was Crystal Palace delaying his exit. The Eagles kept postponing a green light on the sale to have him involved in the European encounter but eventually agreed as soon as Arsenal made an offer.

Daniel Levy is likely to be out for blood

Daniel Levy isn’t someone to forget such betrayals, though, and he now has a chance to exact revenge by signing one of the players Crystal Palace have identified as a potential Eze replacement.

As per Fichajes, Tottenham are plotting revenge on Palace by signing Leicester City star Bilal El Khannouss. The 21-year-old is one of the Foxes’ best players and has a huge ceiling. He is far too good a player to be playing in the Championship.

El Khannouss was one of the shining lights for Leicester City in a disastrous campaign in the Premier League last year. They are now back in the Championship and there is a good chance that they see the Moroccan footballer in leave before the window slams shut.

A technically sound midfielder

Predominantly a number 10, the youngster is also capable of playing on the left wing. A technically gifted midfielder, he could prove to be the perfect reinforcement for Thomas Frank in the #10 role but can also play on the left if needed.

Leicester are interested in keeping hold of the player but Tottenham have the finances to tempt them into making a deal. Ultimately, it is all likely to come down to the player’s desire and one would assume that El Khannouss would want to play in the Premier League and Champions League.

It remains to be seen if Spurs manage to pip Palace to the signature of the Moroccan. It would feel good to get this revenge but let’s wait and see how it plays out.
