Tottenham forward Richarlison has been called up to the Brazil squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia

Richarlison scored twice in Tottenham’s opening game of the season against Burnley and supplied an assist for Brennan Johnson’s goal in the win at Man City.
The Brazilian striker’s tireless performance vs City was hailed by Thomas Frank after the game on Saturday. As per a report from ESPN, Richarlison has been called up to the latest Brazil squad for the next set of World Cup qualifiers. Brazil will host Chile on September 5 and then travel to Bolivia on September 10.

Richarlison has been heavily linked with an exit from White Hart Lane all summer. Owing to his persistent injury problems and chronic inconsistency over the last two years, the South American poacher has failed to fulfil his potential and live up to the expectations of the Tottenham fans. This had resulted in the club eyeing offers to cash in on the player.
However, he is enjoying a renaissance in form under the new Tottenham boss. With Neymar left out of the squad for the upcoming qualifiers, the opportunity is there for Richarlison to show he can be Brazil’s main man up top and prove his doubters wrong.
