PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani faces an uncertain future as Tottenham re-emerge as potential destination
One of the major concerns for Tottenham heading into the summer was to address the issues up front in the final third of the pitch. The Lilywhites had made it clear that they were looking to sign a new striker before the transfer window shut, as Thomas Frank could not rely heavily on Richarlison due to his injury issues and inconsistency.
However, the Brazil international has managed to prove his critics wrong in the best way possible this season. Not many would have thought that the 28-year-old would make such an impact for the North London club under Thomas Frank. And it is fair to say that Richarlison has absolutely become a vital part of the team now after a brilliant start to the campaign.

The prolific forward has ‘worked his socks off’ and he has been rewarded for it as well. Richarlison has already grabbed two goals and an assist in the first three Premier League games of the season. And rumours of him leaving N17 are far from true as he looks to continue his good form under Thomas Frank and pip Dominic Solanke for a regular spot in the starting eleven.
Tottenham still in the hunt to land PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani
Many in and around the club worry that Richarlison is just going through a purple patch right now. And with lack of depth up top, there is a concern that the Lilywhites might be short of manpower if one of Solanke or Richarlison gets injured midway through the season. Both players are quite injury prone and need to be rotated regularly so that they can maintain their fitness.
However, this cannot go on for too long if Thomas Frank wants to compete hard on all four fronts this season. Keeping that in mind, Spurs have reignited their interest in PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani again. It was reported earlier that the Lilywhites wanted to sign the Frenchman earlier in the window, but the player was keen to move to Italy instead and play for Juventus.
But it looks like the North London club might just be able to land him after all. As per Fabrizio Romano (via X), Kolo Muani’s proposed deal from PSG to Juventus has fallen through as both clubs failed to reach an agreement on the transfer fee. Romano has also reported that Spurs have made a ‘late enquiry’ to sign the prolific forward before the transfer window shuts in the coming hours.
It remains to be seen how the transfer saga involving the PSG striker unfolds. Signing the 26-year-old would provide a different dynamic up front for Thomas Frank. The PSG forward can also play as a makeshift left-winger, adding versatility to his game. However, the only downside to the move would be that Richarlison and Mathys Tel would fall down the pecking order under Thomas Frank. Also, signing the Frenchman would be expensive as he still has three years remaining in his PSG contract.
