Dejan Kulusevski expect to return to action for Tottenham Hotspur within three months
The last few weeks and months have seen Tottenham Hotspur go through a series of very significant changes. The most recent of these was the shock move of Daniel Levy stepping down from his position as the Executive Chairman of the club. Some months before that, Spurs also underwent a significant change in their sporting management, as Ange Postecoglou, who led the team to a UEFA Europa League triumph, was replaced by Thomas Frank.
Meanwhile, the team itself has undergone some changes. For instance, Son Heung-Min left for the MLS in the summer, while other exciting players like Joao Palhinha, Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons, and Randal Kolo Muani joined up with Frank’s team. These new players will significantly improve the North London side’s offense. Furthermore, this area of the team will be bolstered even farther when two players who are currently out with injuries, Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison return.
While the latter is not expected to return till the end of this season, the former has given a positive update on his recovery, and is now expected to return a bit sooner than was previously expected. As per a report from TeamTalk, Kulusevski appeared in an interview with a Swedish outlet and revealed that he might return to the pitch in two or three months:

“The rehab is going well. Every day I wake up with the same hunger and even more hunger with each passing day.
“The status is very good, and I will be on a football pitch in the very, very near future. If everything goes as it should, as it has so far, I am very confident that I will be on the pitch in two to three months.”
A positive boost for Tottenham
The Swede was previously expected to return to the pitch only in December, so this update from him is definitely positive news for the Spurs fans.
However, his return can also cause a selection headache for Thomas Frank. He plays the best as an attacking midfielder, and after the international break, Xavi Simons is expected to play this role regularly in the Tottenham team.
One way to solve this issue when Kulusevski returns would be to shift the Dutchman on the left wing, currently occupied by Brennan Johnson, and to play the Swede as the attacking midfielder. But there is still a significant time left to make these decisions and hopefully, the team would not miss the injured star too much till he returns.
