Tottenham aiming to clear the final hurdle and become serial winners as the club commences a new era
Tottenham have gone through with some massive changes on and off the pitch in recent weeks. But it is fair to say that the departure of Daniel Levy will surely top everything as it came at a time when no one was expecting any shocking news. The Englishman ended his 25-year stint with the Lilywhites during the ongoing international break, but it is clear to see that Levy’s exit was in the pipeline for quite some time.
Now, the North London club needs to get ready for a new era at N17 under the Lewis family’s guidance. It is fair to suggest that Daniel Levy managed to make Spurs a commercial giant by building a world-class stadium and a state-of-the-art training facility. Not only that, but the former club chairman also managed to generate endless revenue streams for the Lilywhites during his time at N17.

But Levy just could not manage to lead the club over the final hurdle, that is, winning major trophies on a consistent basis. The Lilywhites are longing for consistent success for quite some time now. And the North London club might just have the chance of taking that next step now that Daniel Levy has stepped down.
Tottenham should aim for more silverware as they kickstart a new era
Well, the performances and results on the pitch will now be considered a priority, as Tottenham look to build on the Europa League success under Thomas Frank. The Lilywhites are aiming to compete hard on all four fronts under the Danish tactician. And fans are also hoping that the North London club manages to go deep in one of the cup competitions this season.
Tottenham CEO Vinai Venkatesham has outlined what Spurs are looking to achieve this season following Daniel Levy’s departure. Speaking to the club’s media team, Venkatesham said,
“We saw in May in Bilbao what that next step is. That next step is competing for and ultimately winning major trophies. We’ve had a taste of that. It’s even better than you imagined.”
The Spurs CEO added,
“You realise that the club is even bigger than you thought it was, and you’re hungry for more, and that’s what everybody associated with this football club is hungry for more nights like that.”
Vinai Venkatesham has reiterated that Tottenham are looking to compete for, and win, more trophies following the Europa League success last season. The Spurs CEO highlighted the size of the club, in terms of fan-following and generating revenue, and wants to take the next step by winning on a regular basis.
Thomas Frank has no reasons to not try and go all-in for a major trophy this year. The Danish tactician has also been backed by the Spurs hierarchy in the summer. And now the ex-Brentford boss must build on the foundations laid by Ange Postecoglou and make Tottenham ‘serial winners’ during his time at N17.
