Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring Ajax Amsterdam sensation Jorthy Mokio
Tottenham Hotspur had quite a varied 2025 summer transfer window, as the North London club experienced almost all the turns and twists of the market. They brought in several highly exciting players to bolster their squad, missed out and faced humiliation for some of their most preferred targets, and also saw one of the fans’ most beloved players leave.
There was also quite a lot of variety in the new players brought in. These new signings addressed different areas of the team, and varied from experienced players, like Joao Palhinha, to players who are still growing but already playing at a high level, like Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus, and others who are still to breakout, like Kota Takai.
But even after the end of the transfer window, Spurs are still being linked with several players in the market, and one of these players happens to be one of the highly promising talents in Europe, i.e., Jorthy Mokio, who is currently playing for Ajax.
As per a report from TeamTalk, Tottenham are only one of the several Premier League clubs keeping an eye on the youngster, with teams like Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester City all attentive to the youngster.

A highly promising defender
The 17-year-old preferred to join Ajax in 2024, rejecting advances from other clubs like Barcelona and Bayern Munich, which shows his preference to currently focus on growth and development. With Ajax, he has played 22 games so far, three of them coming this season, and scored two goals in the process.
One of the main strengths of the Belgian youngster is his versatility, as he can play both as a defensive midfielder and a centre-back, while also excelling as a left-back. Another of his great strengths is his physicality, as he stands at an imposing 6ft of height. Furthermore, he has also shown great signs of promise with his left foot, and all these qualities make him an ideal candidate for a modern defender.
For now, it remains to be seen how his future would pan out, but Tottenham should definitely make their move to try and get such a promising talent into their team.
