“Making an impression”- Thomas Frank building himself a solid fan base at Tottenham; good-guy image working wonders

Tottenham made the right call by appointing Thomas Frank as their new manager in the summer

It is fair to suggest that Thomas Frank has settled in well at Tottenham following his high-profile summer switch to N17. A lot of questions were asked when the Lilywhites decided to hire the Danish tactician, with many fans thinking that the Spurs job came too soon for him. However, the ex-Brentford boss has silenced his critics in the best way possible by enduring a brilliant start to the new season.

Under Frank’s guidance, the Lilywhites have won four of their opening six games of the season, helping the North London club climb up to third on the Premier League table. Not only that, but Spurs look quite cohesive and composed this season against tricky opponents. This is a testament to the work Thomas Frank has done in such a short time at N17.

Tottenham made the right call by appointing Thomas Frank as their new manager in the summer.
Thomas Frank has led Tottenham to four wins in their opening six games this season.

The highly-rated manager is quite clear that he wants Spurs to compete hard on all four fronts this season. And it looks like the players are also responding positively to that, with the squad showing enough grit and hunger week in week out. Along with the impressive results in the Premier League, Thomas Frank has also managed to bring out the best in his players this season.

Thomas Frank has already made huge strides at Tottenham this season

Despite a few blips here and there, Tottenham have looked a much more solid team under Thomas Frank this season. The Danish tactician wants to build on the momentum his team has created at the start of the new campaign, and carry that on to achieve more silverware by the time the season ends. It is an open secret that Frank wants Spurs to become ‘serial winners’ during his tenure at N17.

Now, Alasdair Gold has given his two cents on the ex-Brentford manager’s start to life at Hotspur Way. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Gold says,

“The amount of people behind the scenes that I speak to think he’s just great. They get that he’s just a really good guy. Very good on the details and very clear in what he wants. He is making an impression on the staff as much as he is the players in the dressing room as well.”

The journalist adds,

“I think he knows he’s building something new on top of existing foundations. He’s quite respectful to what was built before and he’s not trying to destroy it. He’s trying to add value to it.”

Alasdair Gold has shared that everyone at Tottenham has been impressed with the way Thomas Frank handles himself. The journalist points out that Frank’s attention to detail makes him a well-liked character in the dressing room. Gold also suggests that the Danish tactician is trying to make his own history at N17 by adding value to last season’s Europa League success and building on the foundations set by Ange Postecoglou.

Well, the ex-Brentford boss is passing with flying colours as of now. There is also a feel-good factor around N17 as of now, which clearly indicates that Thomas Frank is doing something right as the Tottenham manager. The next step for the Danish tactician is to finish the season in the top-half of the Premier League table, as well as, go deep in one of the cup competitions.
