Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is aiming to deliver a positive first campaign at N17 and build on last season’s UEL success
Tottenham have made an outstanding start to the season under Thomas Frank’s leadership. The Danish tactician has maximised his players’ potential by utilising them to their strengths, resulting in a more organised and composed style of play. There is also less chaos on the pitch and the players seem to understand their roles perfectly.
Under Frank, the Lilywhites have won five of their opening seven games of the season, keeping five cleans sheets in the process. Few expected the Danish tactician to make such a significant impact in such a short time at N17, but it is clear the North London club is heading in the right direction under his stewardship.

Thomas Frank made it clear at the start of the season that he wanted Spurs to strongly compete on all four fronts. The Danish tactician is keen to build on last season’s Europa League success with a deep run in at least one domestic competition, while also aiming to deliver a positive finish in the Premier League.
Thomas Frank has certainly made waves at Tottenham this season
Many fans questioned Tottenham’s decision to hire Thomas Frank as manager following Ange Postecoglou’s shock sacking in the summer. Yet, in hindsight, Daniel Levy appears to have made the right call. Spurs have made a strong start to the season and currently sit third in the Premier League, with a run of favourable fixtures offering the chance to widen the gap at the top.
Martin Allen has now joined the chorus of praise for Frank’s impact at N17 after witnessing Tottenham’s impressive early form. Speaking to Tottenham News, Allen said,
“I think they look very, very good. They’ve got strength in depth now. There are people on the bench who can come on and change games. They look much stronger. They’re better at set-plays. I think they’ve been working on those.”
The ex-Leicester manager added,
“So, no, I think they’re in a good position. They’re looking much stronger, much more disciplined, much harder to beat. And Thomas has done a good job in the short space of time that he’s been there.”
Martin Allen believes Tottenham’s improvement this season stems from adding quality across all positions and significantly bolstering their squad depth. He also highlights the Lilywhites’ progress on the set-piece front – an area that appears to have been a focus under Frank. Allen also adds that the Danish tactician has transformed Spurs into a tougher and more disciplined side.
All eyes now turn to the weekend as the Lilywhites face Wolves in the Premier League. Victory over Vitor Pereira’s side would extend Tottenham’s strong start to the campaign and further solidify their position in the table. Fans, however, will be hoping the players avoid complacency and secure all three points against a tricky opposition.
