Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League duties in a late Saturday kickoff as Thomas Frank‘s side welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to North London. Midweek saw both the sides grabbing EFL Cup wins. The Lilywhites had a seamless outing against Doncaster Rovers, while Wolves got back some sense of pride after their tough start to the season as they won against Everton on a 2-0 scoreline.
The Lilywhites returned to winning ways in the midweek after that 2-2 draw against Brighton last weekend. And now Tottenham sit joint-second in the Premier League table, being behind Arsenal only because of goal difference. And this means that this year’s tally of ten points under the Dane head coach in his first five league games in charge of the North Londoners is double how much this side took up in Ange’s final 12 last season. This in a way shows how much the former Brentford manager has settled into life at N17.

Given Wolves are struggling to find their feet after they sold Cunha and Ait Nouri to Manchester clubs, they see themselves being at the bottom of the table after Vitor Pereira’s side suffered five straight losses to open the 2025/26 season. To put it into context, there are only 3 other times when a side lost the first six games of the new season in the English top tier [Portsmouth (2009-10), Crystal Palace (2017-18) and Norwich (2021-22)].
But Wolves will hope that the performance in the midweek can help generate a sense of confidence in the roster.
Team News
Tottenham Hotspur
The hosts are set for a possible four-player injury boost for tomorrow’s fixture. All of Dominic Solanke (ankle), Kota Takai (foot), Randal Kolo Muani (thigh) and Ben Davies (knee) are pushing to have a possible return from their respective injuries. But that being said, Thomas Frank still has a few players serving the sidelines.
James Maddison and Radu Dragusin continue to recover from their ACL injuries. Dejan Kulusevski is still struggling with that knee, which has kept him out for a while. Yves Bissouma remains sidelined after his training injury just before the window came to close a few weeks back.
That being said, even if Tottenham do welcome Dominic Solanke and Kolo Muani, Richy is expected to start upfront in the #9 role. The Brazilian has six Premier League goals against Wolves, his joint-most (also Leicester) against any club. And Frank would be looking to take advantage of that little stat.

Wolves
While they went on to win in the midweek. It came with a price, as midfielder Andre suffered a calf injury. And coming into tomorrow’s game, he will be a doubt. Andre will be joining long-term absentee Leon Chiwome on the sidelines for Vitor Pereira & Co.
With no Andre in the side, Marshall Munetsi would be pushing to start again for Wolves. And then, given how impressive Tolu Arokodare was for them upfront in the midweek, he would also be pushing for a possible recall in the starting eleven.
Predicted Lineups
Tottenham Hotspur (4-3-3)
Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Palhinha, Bergvall; Kudus, Richarlison, Johnson
Wolverhampton Wanderers (3-4-2-1)
Sa; Mosquera, Toti, Agbadou; Doherty, J. Gomes, Munetsi, R. Gomes; Lopez, Hwang; Arokodare
Prediction
Tottenham have found a sense of stability at the back. But we have also seen a bit of flow starting to come through going forward. And this attacking flair should be far too much for a Wolves side that are still pushing to find a sense of rhythm in the league.
Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
