Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma has been spotted on grass ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Bodo/Glimt
Tottenham Hotspur turn their attention to Champions League action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Norway to take on Bodo/Glimt.
Spurs were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by basement club Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday evening. Santiago Buena’s opener was cancelled by a fine Joao Palhinha goal from outside the box, as Thomas Frank’s side rescued a point at home. Nonetheless, it was still two points dropped, which was extremely exasperating for the team and fans to take.
Thomas Frank will want to see a reaction for his boys against Bodo/Glimt, who the Lilywhites conquered last season en route to their Europa League success. Spurs saw them off in the Europa League semi-finals, so the Norwegian club will have revenge on their minds.
Tottenham midfielder back in training ahead of Bodo/Glimt clash
Heading into the Bodo/Glimt clash, Tottenham’s options up top remain limited. Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani were not part of the training group on Monday. Solanke has been dealing with an ankle problem for weeks now, while Kolo Muani is yet to overcome a dead leg.
According to journalist George Sessions on X, one player who was spotted in open training at Hotspur Way was Yves Bissouma.
Yves Bissouma has been both unfit and out of favour at N17. The midfielder’s appearances in the pre-season was limited amid exit links, and since being dropped from the squad against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup at the start of August due to disciplinary issues, he has not been seen.

The Malian international was made available for transfer all summer, and despite interest from several clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia, he has not moved on and still remains on the club’s books. Fenerbahce came very close to signing Yves Bissouma, as revealed by their president Ali Koc, before an untimely knee injury scuppered a deal.
The 29-year-old was one of the names omitted from of Spurs’ 22-man Champions League squad. The enforcer is into the final 11 months of his contract and the Lilywhites will try their best to cash him in during the winter transfer window. For now, though, Bissouma is a Tottenham player and will be slowly reintegrated into the squad, as suggested by Thomas Frank.
Bissouma is now back in grass but not yet in full team training sessions, so we are likely to see him train with the squad during October’s international break.
