Peter Crouch pinpoints one ‘fantastic’ attribute of Thomas Frank as Tottenham impress again in the PL

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is looking to build on last season’s UEL success at N17

Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to surpass expectations under Thomas Frank this season. Few predicted the Lilywhites would be competing at the top end of the Premier League table after last year’s disappointing domestic campaign. Yet, the North London side have made huge strides forward, showing real growth as they build on an impressive start to life under their new manager.

Frank’s men recently claimed a statement victory away to Leeds United, closing the gap at the top of the table. The hard-fought win over Daniel Farke’s side also made Spurs the first team to win at Elland Road in over a year — a testament to their newfound resilience and confidence. This team is no longer daunted by difficult away fixtures or tricky opponents.

Thomas Frank has managed to transform Tottenham into a better team this season.

Goals from Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus secured all three points for the Lilywhites, but much of the credit belongs to Thomas Frank. The Danish tactician has transformed this squad in a remarkably short time. Under his guidance, Tottenham look like a completely different side — one that exudes confidence, plays with purpose, and shows far more control on the pitch than in previous seasons.

Thomas Frank has reintegrated belief at Tottenham this season

One of the most noticeable changes this season is the players’ renewed belief and composure. That confidence stems directly from Frank’s exceptional man-management skills and his ability to get the best out of every individual in the squad. Known for his personal approach, the Dane has fostered a strong sense of unity and purpose at N17.

Now, Peter Crouch has also praised Frank’s ability to bring out the best out of every player. Speaking on TNT Sports (h/t BBC Sport), Crouch said,

“The thing Frank has changed at Tottenham is the mentality; he’s a fantastic communicator. You see in the way that he talks, he puts his arm around people and tells them how good they are the qualities that they have.”

The ex-Liverpool striker added,

“We talk a lot about tactics in football but the personal side, being able to talk to people and get the best out of them and give them confidence is important.”

It’s clear that there’s been a major shift in mentality at Tottenham this season. As Crouch rightly points out, the Lilywhites are playing with renewed belief and togetherness, inspired by Frank’s ability to communicate and connect with his players. His approach has made every member of the squad feel valued and motivated to contribute.

Long may this continue under Thomas Frank. The former Brentford boss appears to have seamlessly settled into life at N17 and looks ready to take Tottenham to the next level in the coming years. With the players fully behind him, the Lilywhites are showing they have the hunger and determination to compete on all fronts this season.
