Randal Kolo Muani injury timeline offers Tottenham Hotspur renewed hope
Tottenham’s plans for a sharper, more dynamic frontline have taken an early hit, with on-loan star Randal Kolo Muani facing a spell on the sidelines after his injury last month. The French forward, who arrived with big expectations to add pace and versatility to Thomas Frank’s attack, has seen himself forced to watch from the stands during what should have been a crucial bedding-in period.
An injury expert speaking to Tottenham Hotspur News explained the difficulty of the situation, stressing that while Kolo Muani’s recovery is on track, the timing could not have been worse.
“It’s difficult to say if this might keep him out longer because with these ‘dead legs’, there can be a big impact on the muscle, which can lead to high levels of pain and dysfunction,”
“It’s hard to put a timeline on that, especially if there is any bone bruising involved as well. I don’t think Frank should be concerned because the injury was a contact injury, which is typically bad luck compared to anything more concerning.”
He’s only got to play 13 minutes in that one Champions League game against Villarreal, and saw himself get a yellow card in that game too. Talk about unfortunate.

Frustrations galore!
Tis a case of disruption of plans before actually being in action. Kolo Muani’s versatility across the front three was a key reason the club invested so heavily in him hoping he could rotate with the existing bunch of attackers while adding a different dimension in the final third. He can play off either flank, the lone striker upfront, or even second striker.
Kolo Muani’s track record in Europe suggests he can be that figure. He scored 26 goals in 50 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt, then continued his scoring touch with 10 goals in 22 outings at Juventus and a decent showing at PSG too. Those numbers underline the profile Spurs thought they were getting: A mobile striker who can hold the ball up, run in behind, and finish clinically.

The international break could prove to be well-timed, giving him an extra window to recover without missing more action. If the medical team’s optimism holds true, Spurs could have their marquee summer signing available again before the end of October. That would give the rest of the attack some time to catch their breath too.
For now, patience is the only option. Tottenham know what Kolo Muani can bring, but his real debut season in North London is still on pause.
