“Very good start”- Former English star appraises Thomas Frank’s start at Tottenham

Date:

Thomas Frank has changed the outlook of this Tottenham Hotspur team in such a short period of time

Tottenham continue to impress under Thomas Frank after yet another impressive performance in the Premier League. The Lilywhites came out victorious against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, ending the Toffees’ unbeaten home run in the league. The emphatic 3-0 win in Merseyside was enough to see the North London club go third in the table, subsequently closing the gap on leaders Arsenal and keeping their title dreams alive.

Thomas Frank’s influence has been evident, with Spurs becoming a tough team to break down this season. The Danish tactician’s decision to prioritise defensive solidity after arriving at N17 now appears to be paying off. Following the impressive win against Everton, the Lilywhites have now managed to keep four clean sheets in their opening nine Premier League matches.

Thomas Frank is enjoying life at Tottenham following an impressive start to the season.

This just shows the massive strides Spurs have taken under Frank’s guidance. There is a clear gameplan in place for the players, and compared to last season, there is far less chaos on the pitch. The Lilywhites now play with composure and patience, preferring to wait for the right opportunities rather than forcing the issue against challenging opponents.

Thomas Frank doing all the right things at Tottenham this season

Thomas Frank could not have asked for a better start at Tottenham. The Danish tactician is clearly building something exciting, and there is a growing belief around N17 that he might just be the right man to take the Lilywhites to the next level. Frank’s objective is to compete on all fronts this season, and his players seem determined to make that happen, as shown by their string of impressive performances.

Now, Ashley Young has heaped praise on the Dane’s early success at N17 and believes there is more to come if the North London club continues the good form. Speaking on Sky Sports (via X), Young said,

“He has had a very good start. The way he has had a start to this season, as a Tottenham fan you would take that definitely. They can take confidence out of what they have produced and take that into the games coming up.”

As Young rightly pointed out, Tottenham supporters have plenty of reasons to be pleased with their team’s start under Thomas Frank. The Lilywhites are playing with renewed belief, particularly in their performances away from home. However, Young also urged the team to maintain this confidence and carry their momentum into the upcoming fixtures.

The win against Everton will serve as a major boost as Spurs approach a crucial run of games before the festive period. The Lilywhites face Newcastle United, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal in their next five matches. These fixtures will provide a true test of how far Thomas Frank’s men have progressed this season, and whether they are ready to consistently compete with the Premier League’s elite.
