Richarlison is open to leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Flamengo
Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has been linked with a move away from Hotspur Way despite his recent purple patch.
The Brazilian striker had been subject to links with Spurs decimating the summer window, but to the surprise of many supporters, the club ended up keeping him out at N17.
And that in a way paid off given how he started firing on all cylinders under Thomas Frank’s tutelage. Suddenly at one point he was among the most informed strikers in the English top tier. The opportunities kept coming towards him given the injuries to Dominic Solanke and Kolo Muani. But the North Londoners are looking to capitalise on his form by selling him for a decent fee this winter.
Richarlison gives go ahead on possible Brazil return

And Richarlison has reportedly given his green light for a potential move that could see him return to Brazil. And South American giants Flamengo are said to be eyeing the 28‑year‑old forward. A recent report from journalist Fabricio Lopes insists that Richy is open to the idea of going back to South America and going to Flamengo. He said (as relayed by Sport Witness):
“The one Flamengo really want is Richarlison, the former Fluminense man. The values are still being discussed and are much higher than what Brazilian clubs usually pay. But Richarlison has already given the ‘ok’ to negotiate with Flamengo if he returns to South America.”
Richarlison is under contract at Tottenham until the end of 2027. But given his current market value at €25m (£21m), it would come out to be around R$156m. At this fee, Richy would become one of the most expensive transfers in the Brazilian top tier.
TTLB Opinion

The thing is, we have always heard rumours about Brazilian clubs interested, alongside the fact that the Lilywhites are stubborn about their financial demands for Richy.
But this is the first time that we have heard from a source close to the situation that the player is open to a possible move. Now this alone changes the whole situation. With Richarlison open to a move, there is now a deal to be done.
And given how Tottenham are desperate to ship him off, given his recent purple patch, there is a high possibility that the North Londoners end up sanctioning his sale when the winter transfer window comes around.
If Flamengo come in and put a reasonable offer on the table, then the North Londoners should definitely give it a consideration.
What do you make of the fact that Tottenham are up to selling Richarlison on the first glimpse of the player he was supposed to be when he signed for the Lilywhites? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
