Tottenham Hotspur are ready to pay €80m for Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo
Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring in some attacking reinforcements in the upcoming windows. We have seen this frustration coming along from the supporters at Hotspur Way for the offensive problems that we have seen on display of late.
Tottenham need a new wide forward
While the current side does have that defensive stability and structure, there haven’t been any significant attacking sequences that keep the supporters on the edge of their seats. These supporters at N17 appreciate nothing more than an attractive brand of football, and that is difficult to see when the team is on the back foot defending in compact fashion for most of the game.

And even when they get the ball, the attacking sequences lack that creativity, which makes it hard to watch at times.
This is what the decision-makers are going to be trying to resolve when the opportunity arises to add from the window. And they have been looking to add Bournemouth’s Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo.
Spurs ready to fork out premium fee for Semenyo

The high-flying winger from the African continent has been putting in some impressive displays for the Cherries this season. He has already contributed to nine league goals in ten appearances this season, showing how effective he has been with the ball.
The thing with Semenyo is, he gives you that direct playing style but also with a creative aspect. He is also good at lay-offs and plays that open up set defences. And that is where he could add a firepower that Thomas Frank’s men desperately need in that front line.
And to support the Dane head coach with more marquee quality, Vinai Venkatesham is ready to sanction €80m for his signatures, per the latest report by Spanish publication Fichajes. Semenyo also brings his versatility to the front line given that he can feature across the front line giving the Dane head coach that much required tactical flexibility in the final third.
TTLB Opinion
We did see Tottenham fork out a lot of money in the summer window. But those attacking signings have not been coming through. And despite so, the fact that the Lilywhites are ready to fork out €80m to bring in Semenyo is a statement of intent and trust from the decision-makers at Hotspur Way.
If Tottenham can manage to negotiate a sensible payment structure with Bournemouth, then this could be the kind of transfer that can bring a lot of value in the long term.
But that being said, there would also be a lot of other clubs interested in his signatures, especially given how he has been playing of late.
