Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies called up to the Wales squad for the upcoming international break
Tottenham Hotspur have been suffering from ample injury problems this season, with the list growing after every passing day.
Spurs had several key players out when they faced FC Copenhagen in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. Mohammed Kudus, surprisingly, missed out on the big win over FC Copenhagen after picking up a knock in training. Lucas Bergvall was also not involved due to concussion protocols and will not be available for the Manchester United game, while Dominic Solanke is expected to return after the November international break.
Cristian Romero started alongside Micky van de Ven in central defence on Tuesday, after coming on as a substitute in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at the weekend. It was a big positive to have the skipper back fully fit and leading the troops against the Danish giants. Now, Spurs have also been handed another injury boost.

Ben Davies included in Wales squad for the November international break
According to a report from BBC Sport, Tottenham defender Ben Davies has been included in the Wales squad for the games in the upcoming international break despite being sidelined by injury in recent weeks. Wales are to set to face Liechtenstein and North Macedonia for the crucial World Cup qualifiers later this month.
Ben Davies picked up a hamstring injury in Wales’ 4-2 defeat by Belgium on October 13. Since then, he has missed games for Tottenham against Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Chelsea and FC Copenhagen thus far. Whether or not the veteran defender is fit and available for the visit of Manchester United at the weekend remains to be seen.

But, the 32-year-old being picked by the national team boss Craig Bellamy for the games against Liechtenstein and North Macedonia shows he is nearing fitness. It could be down to having an experienced player and leader in the form of the Tottenham star in the dressing room ahead of the pivotal World Cup qualifiers.
This news should come as a big boost for Tottenham. Thomas Frank needs as many players fit to tackle the taxing schedule after the November international break. Davies potentially returning to fitness would add to the options in defence, which has been hit with injuries of late. It’d be interesting to see whether Davies plays in Wales’ upcoming fixtures.
