Real Madrid are ready to listen to offers for Rodrygo in January amid Tottenham Hotspur interest
Tottenham Hotspur have not been free-flowing going forward under Thomas Frank. A major factor in them dropping points in five of their six league matches at home this season is their lack of cutting edge in the final third.
Spurs have struggled to impose themselves against teams they were expected to beat, leading to growing frustration among supporters. The recent 2-2 draw with Manchester United only added to that angst, as the north Londoners conceded a late equaliser in stoppage time and allowed two crucial points slip away from their hands.
The absence of a prolific goalscorer is making it difficult for Thomas Frank’s side to get positive results consistently in the Premier League. In addition, they are lacking a creative, productive left-winger who can make a difference in the final third.

Real Madrid name Rodrigo price
Tottenham are still keen on signing Real Madrid star Rodrygo, having missed out on his services in the past summer transfer window. The Brazilian’s future at Real Madrid has been uncertain since the start of the summer, and three months into the new season, things apparently continues to remain the same. The forward’s role at the club appears to be dwindling, with him no longer commanding the same impact he once had.
Recent reports suggested that Real Madrid would entertain offers for Rodrygo in the range of €50–55 million. Having now been left on the fringes of the squad, Tottenham want to try their luck again when the transfer window reopens on January 1.
Now, according to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid are prepared to begin negotiations from €80million for Rodrygo. The 24-year-old wants to resolve his situation before it affects his chances in the Brazilian national team ahead of next summer’s World Cup. Xabi Alonso prefers other profiles, leaving the player with a lack of continuity and opening the door for Spurs an opportunity to enter the operation.

Real Madrid are apparently leaning towards selling Rodrygo next year but yet to name a concrete asking price, as evidenced by the fluctuating figures. Tottenham have emerged as a concrete suitor for Rodrygo, who is viewed as an exciting target- should Los Blancos decide to entertain offers. The South American could solve the north London side’s left-wing woes, whilst filling the void left by Son Heung-min. His addition would raise the ceiling of Frank’s squad and represent a statement. Plus, Spurs could make him the face of their attack and pave the way for a new offensive phase.
All in all, it remains to be seen what Madrid’s demands would be for Rodrygo in the winter transfer window.
