Tottenham Hotspur Mikey Moore backed to leave a lasting impact at Rangers
Mikey Moore was a part of Ange Postecoglou’s side, which won the Europa League last season, but he was loaned out to Scottish outfit Rangers this summer as his game time would have been limited under Thomas Frank this season.
After he arrived at Ibrox, Moore faced criticism from fans due to his underwhelming performances in the early months. However, following the appointment of German coach Danny Rohl as Rangers’ manager, Moore’s performances have significantly improved, and he now appears to have earned the trust and confidence of the supporters.
Rohl, who previously managed Sheffield Wednesday and worked in top European clubs, brought a fresh tactical approach and high-energy style that has revitalized the team and key players like Moore.

Moore has been at Tottenham since the age of seven, and gradually climbed the ranks as he matured. He signed a new long-term contract with Spurs on his 18th birthday this August.
Spurs expert and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham spoke exclusively to Tottenham News about the situation. He stated (h/t Tottenham News):
“I’m keeping the receipts. I’m coming for the Rangers fans who were moaning about him before, and now they love him. They were always going to love him if he was played in the right way, if he was given opportunity. You’re not as hyped as he is and rightly so, and suddenly lose that, you know?”
“So I’ve no doubt that he will become a firm fan favourite before this season is over, and long may that continue. He’s doing really, really well. He’s getting lots of involvement, game time, and the fans are on his side. So, hopefully, he goes from strength to strength now and cements himself as a real firm fan favourite up there.”
Moore is enjoying life at Scotland since Rohl has granted him the element of freedom on the football pitch. He has scored 1 goal and provided two assists in 17 appearances in all competitions for Rangers this season.
There were early suggestions that Moore might be called back to N17 after a disappointing early spell in Scotland, but with his improving display, he is now expected to remain at Ibrox till end of the season.
Tottenham are content with Moore’s progress and the fact that he is receiving regular senior-team action. After dispatching Son Heung-min to the MLS this summer, Moore could serve as an important squad player on the left flank after he returns.
Mikey Moore: The next big thing from the Spurs academy?
Moore’s technical ability, intelligence, explosive pace, and vision on the wing has made him one of the most talked-about young prospects in English football.
The progress that he has made at just 18 years old at both club and country level is nothing short of remarkable. Moore regularly features in England’s U-19 setup, where he has consistently performed well. Considering Moore’s recent growth and with time on his side, the 18-year-old certainly has a bright future ahead of him.
