“Very unlikely”- Tottenham legend Harry Kane offers insight into his future plans

Harry Kane has revealed his transfer stance as player has no intentions of coming back to Tottenham

Tottenham have not managed to replace Harry Kane since the England international left N17 for a new chapter in 2023. The legendary forward chose to end his long stint with the Lilywhites and join Bayern Munich in pursuit of silverware and the challenge of a different league. It is fair to say that the 32-year-old has proved once again why he is regarded as one of the best forwards of his generation.

Kane became the fastest player to reach 100 goals for a single club in Bayern’s history, achieving the milestone in just 102 appearances earlier this season. He has already etched his name into the club’s history books and is making a strong case to be considered a future Bayern legend due to his incredible consistency and his ability to score at any moment in the season. The England international is once again leading the German giants towards another Bundesliga title.

The former Spurs striker has already scored 24 goals and provided three assists in just 18 matches this season under Vincent Kompany. His presence in the final third remains a constant threat, and he continues to find the back of the net with ease, showing no signs of slowing down.

Harry Kane has no interest in returning to Tottenham amid uncertain future

Since Kane’s departure in 2023, Tottenham have been searching for a player capable of filling the enormous void he left behind. It is a task easier said than done, with Dominic Solanke, Richarlison, and Randal Kolo Muani all failing to deliver even a fraction of the output that Kane produced at N17. It was no surprise when the Lilywhites were recently linked with a move for Kane, viewing him as the ideal striker to lead the line under Thomas Frank.

However, the legendary forward has made it clear that his priority is to remain at Bayern Munich and discuss a contract extension with the club. Speaking to BILD (via Fabrizio Romano), Kane said,

“I haven’t had any contact with anyone. I feel very comfortable, even though we haven’t yet discussed my situation with Bayern. So, no rush… I’m really happy in Munich. It’s very unlikely that anything will change after this season.”

Kane is fully focused on his role in Munich and is in no hurry to enter contract negotiations with the Bundesliga champions in the coming months. The forward is happy in Germany and believes he is in the right environment to continue improving his game. Despite having only 18 months left on his contract, the England international remains confident that he will still be at the Allianz Arena next season.

This news is a major setback for the Lilywhites, who had hoped to bring the 32-year-old back on a permanent deal next summer. They still have an outside chance, as contract talks between Kane and Bayern have yet to progress. A romantic return to N17 would be the perfect way for Kane to conclude his career, giving him the opportunity to lead Spurs to potential silverware if he ever decides to come back to North London.

Is dreaming of Kane’s return already a lost cause? Or will we see the Spurs legend don the Lilywhite jersey one last time? Let us know in the comments below.
