Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to return back to winning ways when they host Brentford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Bidding to end their five-game winless run in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur welcome London rivals Brentford to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
Spurs, at least, stopped their sequence of three consecutive defeats in all competitions by holding Newcastle United to a 2-2 away draw in midweek. They came twice from behind to earn a point at St James’ Park, thanks to a brace from skipper Cristian Romero.
Just a single win in last seven games in all competitions has brought Thomas Frank under a lot of pressure. The Dane has to get Tottenham’s season back on track, and facing his former employers Brentford adds an element of intrigue. Despite losing their manager after six years and several key players in the summer, Brentford have performed well under Keith Andrews. They lost 2-0 to league leaders Arsenal on Wednesday evening but will be raring to bounce back immediately against their next north London opponents.

Team News for Tottenham and Brentford
Cristian Romero returned from a one-game suspension with a bang in midweek, scoring a brace, including an incredible overhead kick deep in injury time, to help Spurs earn a point at Newcastle. Tottenham were handed a double injury boost ahead of Saturday’s game with defenders Kota Takai and Radu Dragusin featuring in behind-closed-doors friendly against Dagenham earlier this week.
Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Dominic Solanke and Yves Bissouma all remain out for the Lilywhites.

As for Brentford, Fabio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo are both long-term injuries. Josh Dasilva will be available at the start of the New Year, but Reiss Nelson is set to be included in the squad for Saturday’s game after being ineligible to face parent club Arsenal.
TTLB prediction for Tottenham vs. Brentford
Tottenham are royally struggling with form, especially at home. The 2-1 defeat to Fulham last weekend illustrated the Thomas Frank-managed side’s unease they have had at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2025.
The defence has been extremely porous in recent weeks and conceded twice to Newcastle in midweek. 15 goals conceded in the last five games is not a good reading for the Tottenham fans.
Brentford, on the other hand, have lost three and won two of their last five games. They will be hoping for more luck on the road, given they suffered three consecutive losses against Crystal Palace Brighton and Arsenal respectively. Keith Andrews’ side have been potent on set-pieces and will look to compound more misery for Spurs at home.
Score prediction: Tottenham 2-2 Brentford
