Napoli boss Antonio Conte wants to reunite with Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski in the January transfer window.
Thomas Frank has been a tad unfortunate with injuries in his first season as Tottenham Hotspur head coach. He’s been without some key players since the start of the 2025/26 campaign, and one of those is Dejan Kulusevski.
Dejan Kulusevski has been sidelined since May after undergoing surgery on his patella, cruelly forcing him to miss the Europa League final against Manchester United. The creative midfielder’s contributions behind the club’s Europa League success can never we be taken away, even though he was unfortunate to not participate in the final in Bilbao.
The Swedish international is continuing his recovery process, having been spotted training with a coach in Dubai in a warm weather training camp in November. Kulusevski said in mid-September that he would most likely return to action before the end of 2025, and the fans continue to eagerly wait for his comeback.
However, regardless of not kicking a ball for several months, it has not stopped the 25-year-old from being linked with a move away from N17.

According to a report from Area Napoli, Napoli boss Antonio Conte has been working alongside director of football Giovanni Manna over a potential January move for Kulusevski. The Spurs star is considered as a ‘dream signing’ for Napoli, as Antonio Conte looks to find solutions to his midfield unit after facing problems of late.
Antonio Conte was the manager when Tottenham signed Kulusevski from Juventus in January 2022. He knows the player well and remains keen to reunite with him at Napoli. The Italian manager has made him a top target to bolster his midfield, although the report adds the Tottenham playmaker is considered an ‘impossible dream’ at this point. It is believed that the Europa League winners would be reluctant to sell Kulusevski in January.
The Italian champions have tried to sign the Swede in the past and they are set to try again when the transfer window reopens on January 1. If they look to make an offer, it will be an audacious move considering Kulusevski has not seen action since May and is yet to feature for the Lilywhites this season. Tottenham have missed the Stockholm-born star’s creativity and drive in the middle of the park.
The 25-year-old is a key player and there is no way the Hotspur Way chiefs sanction his move, unless they receive a substantial offer from Napoli or any other club. As a result, a move away from Spurs appears highly unlikely in the winter window.
