Dean Jones expects Tottenham to splash the cash and back Thomas Frank in January

Tottenham are hoping to back Thomas Frank by bringing in more reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window.

Tottenham’s Premier League struggles continue to mount as the Lilywhites find themselves in the bottom half of the league table. Thomas Frank enjoyed a strong start to his tenure at N17, winning four of his opening five matches in all competitions. But the North Londoners’ form has fallen off dramatically since then, with the side producing inconsistent performances far too often.

Spurs have now gone six Premier League home matches without a win this season. There is a clear need for reinforcements in the winter if the club wants to close the gap on its rivals during the second half of the campaign. Thomas Frank cannot continue with the current squad, as there are already several glaring issues that must be addressed.

The recent cash injection from the Lewis family will help the club grow in multiple ways moving forward. The Spurs hierarchy is eager to back Thomas Frank in the winter, emphasising their desire to build on last season’s Europa League success. To achieve that, they are willing to support the Danish tactician in the upcoming transfer window by allowing him to bring in top-quality players for the remainder of the season.

Tottenham all set to be busy in January

Tottenham are hoping to strengthen their squad once the January transfer window opens. The Lilywhites are nowhere near competing with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City, and there is growing concern at N17 that they could slip further down the Premier League table if they do not invest heavily in new players this winter.

Dean Jones has now provided an update on how Spurs plan to approach the January transfer window. Speaking on the Ranks FC podcast, Jones said:

“They have money to spend. I’m told it could be around £100m to spend, which is not insignificant at all time when most clubs aren’t going to be spending especially. The club wants to get Frank a couple of players that he wants.”

The reliable journalist added:

“He has a say in who comes in and they want to give him that opportunity and that platform across the rest of this season to build on. I do expect Tottenham to be one of if not the busiest club in the Premier League in January.”

The recent £100m cash injection from the Lewis family will allow Tottenham to pursue top players in the upcoming transfer window. The Lilywhites are keen to fully back Thomas Frank, giving him the opportunity to build a squad that reflects his vision for the remainder of the season. They want to build on last year’s Europa League success and believe that investing heavily in January is the correct approach.

Spend the money wisely!

Dean Jones expects Tottenham to be one of the busiest clubs in the winter window, making it clear that the Lilywhites are determined to show intent and support Thomas Frank moving forward. While this may be welcome news for the Danish tactician, fans will be hoping the club spends wisely and addresses the obvious weaknesses in the squad.

Spurs need to bring in players capable of making an immediate impact under Thomas Frank in the second half of the campaign. They cannot afford to sign players who require time to develop, especially when the aim is to achieve instant results. Bringing in Premier League-proven players should be the priority, as they can adapt quickly to the demands of English football and play a crucial role in helping the club climb back toward the top.
