How to watch Tottenham vs. Slavia Praha in the Champions League, kick-off time, TV channel, prediction and latest team news

Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to return to winning ways in the Champions League when they host Slavia Praha at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur are now gearing up to face Slavia Praha at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for their round six league phase fixture of the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The Lilywhites ended their five-game winless run in all competitions on Saturday by overcoming London rivals Brentford. Goals from Richarlison and Xavi Simons helped Spurs to a convincing 2-0 win, ending their barren run at home in the Premier League and easing some pressure off Thomas Frank’s shoulders.

Tottenham will now aim to secure all three points in the Champions League against Slavia Praha, who have picked up just three points from their opening five league phase fixtures. The Czech Republic champions are winless in the competition, but they held Atalanta and Athletic Bilbao to credible goalless draws either side of their Arsenal thrashing. And on a five-game winning streak in the Czech top-flight, Jindrich Trpisovsky’s side will not be easy pushovers for Spurs.

Team News for Tottenham and Slavia Praha

Brennan Johnson has served a one-game European suspension and is now available to face Slavia, but Destiny Udogie is likely to miss out again after being ruled out of the Brentford fixture with a “soft tissue injury”.

Randal Kolo Muani was substituted in the 74th minute against Brentford, and he was later seen limping in the mixed zone after the game. Meanwhile, Mathys Tel remains ineligible for the game. Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Dominic Solanke and Yves Bissouma all remain out for the hosts.

As for Slavia, they were recently boosted by the return of Slovakian winger Ivan Schranz from an unspecified injury. Key playmaker Tomas Chory is doubtful due to illness, but the likes of Oscar, Petr Sevcik, Dominik Javorcek and Filip Horsky are all sidelined.

TTLB prediction for Tottenham vs. Slavia Praha

The game will see the return of hero Son Heung-min to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Having departed the club for MLS side Los Angeles in August, Son confirmed that he will be coming back to Tottenham to bid goodbye to the fans, having not got a chance to do so in the summer.

It is going to be emotional for everyone associated with the club watching the South Korean wave farewell before the start of the game. Fans will be hoping those emotions to be transformed on the pitch by the players when they take on Slavia. Having convincingly won the last game, Thomas Frank must be seeking another fast start and pinning the opposition on the back foot.

Slavia, on the other hand, have not enjoyed a positive European campaign thus far and will be keen to put things right on Tuesday. Jindrich Trpisovsky’s side have quality to cause problems for Tottenham on the counter and set-pieces, so the home side must stay focused throughout the 90 minutes to keep back-to-back clean sheets.

Score prediction: Tottenham 3-1 Slavia Praha
