Opta’s supercomputer predicts comfortable home win for Tottenham.
Tottenham are overwhelming favorites to defeat Slavia Prague when they host the Czech champions at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Opta supercomputer gives Spurs a 63% chance of victory in their 10,000 pre-match simulations, with Slavia’s chances of claiming an upset rated at just 17% and a draw at 20%.
The prediction reflects Tottenham’s impressive European home record. Thomas Frank’s side have won both their Champions League home games this season without conceding, beating Villarreal 1-0 and Copenhagen 4-0 to maintain a 22-match unbeaten streak in UEFA competition at home. They are now looking to register clean sheets in four successive European Cup or Champions League home games for the first time.
The omens favor Spurs, who are unbeaten in all four previous meetings with Slavia Prague and have avoided defeat in their last seven matches against Czech opposition stretching back to 1962. Tottenham sit 16th in the league phase standings on eight points, just two points shy of the automatic qualification places in the top eight.

Slavia Prague arrive still seeking their first Champions League win of the campaign. The Czech champions occupy 31st place in the league phase with just three points from five games, having drawn with Athletic Club 0-0 in their most recent European fixture.
Slavia are also winless in their last 12 major European matches and have won just two of their previous 16 games against English opposition. Both victories came in the UEFA Cup or Europa League against Leeds United in 2000 and Leicester City in 2021.
Slavia risk becoming the first team not to score in five straight Champions League matches since AC Milan in October 2023. Their attack may be weakened by Tomas Chory’s potential absence through illness, though Mojmir Chytil is expected to play after scoring braces in successive league games.
Despite their European struggles, Jindrich Trpisovsky’s side are flying domestically with five straight league wins moving them five points clear at the Czech First League summit. Their 3-0 home defeat to Arsenal on Matchday 4 represents their only loss in 12 home matches across all competitions.
Comfortable home win for Spurs?
The 63% prediction for a Tottenham win appears conservative given the contrasting form and quality between the sides. Spurs need maximum points to maintain their push for a top eight finish that would guarantee automatic qualification to the last 16.
