Mohammed Kudus put in a decisive performance in Tottenham’s 3-0 win over Slavia Praha in the Champions League.
Mohammed Kudus delivered yet another strong display in Tottenham Hotspur’s comprehensive 3-0 success over Slavia Praha in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
A David Zima own goal was followed by penalties from Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons, as the Lilywhites got their Champions League campaign back on track after losing 5-3 away to Paris Saint-Germain last time out. With the win, they also moved closer to automatic qualification for the knockout rounds of the European competition.
Thomas Frank has been under pressure for the team’s poor performances and results in recent weeks. But back-to-back wins over Brentford and Slavia Praha respectively would release some pressure off the Dane’s shoulders. And Mohammed Kudus was at the heart of Tottenham’s win over the opponents from Czech Republic.
The Ghanaian international has proven to be an excellent signing for Spurs since he joined the club from West Ham United in the summer. He has been the source of creativity and flair in Thomas Frank’s side, as evidenced by six assists in all competitions. And Kudus continued his hot form on Tuesday.

Thomas Frank praises Kudus’ ‘decisive’ display vs. Slavia Praha
Kudus got a lot of room to manoeuvre on the right flank in an open contest against Slavia Praha. He was always willing to pick up the ball and drive his side forward. The Ghana attacker calmly sent his penalty down the middle as Slavia goalkeeper jumped to his right.
When asked to sum up Kudus’ performance against Slavia, Frank hailed his renewed edge and the three important things about his recent form. He said (h/t Football London):
“Mo [Kudus] at the start of the season did well and then had a dip and now the past three or four weeks he’s got fresh energy, acceleration and decisiveness in his actions. Getting more in sync with the team too – all that is important.
“The way Prague play they will be a threat on transition and you need to close that down. I liked a lot from our performance but I also think we can be much better in the future. Be more in control but we’ve had four games in not many days.”

Mohammed Kudus set to be available for Tottenham during AFCON
Several talents from all across the world are set to represent their nations for the AFCON starting on December 21 and running until January 18, 2026. However, Ghana’s failure to qualify for the AFCON represent a big stroke of luck for Tottenham, with Kudus now set to stay at the club during the festive period.
The 25-year-old has been Spurs’ best attacker this season, and him roaring back into form in the last couple of games is a big plus. Losing him for potentially up to a month would have been a massive setback for Frank, but Kudus’ availability during some upcoming tricky fixtures will be a huge boost now.
