Jeff Stelling shared his prediction for the upcoming EPL fixture: Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham Hotspur look to make it three wins on the bounce on Sunday when they face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in the Premier League.
After a disastrous November, Spurs have finally found some form, with a draw at Newcastle United followed by recent victories over Brentford and Slavia Prague. The back-to-back wins has eased some of the pressure on Thomas Frank that had been building in N17.
The Lilywhites’ European ambitions took a big hit last month after a winless run in the Premier League, leading to them dropping in the bottom half of the table. But, Spurs showed resilience and unity last weekend to overcome Thomas Frank’s former club Brentford, and by stitching a few positive results during the festive period, their season could get back on track.

TalkSPORT host Jeff Stelling predicts the score for Nottingham Forest vs. Tottenham
Spurs should now be brimming with confidence coming up against a Nottingham Forest side that sits 17th in the Premier League table. However, City Ground is historically a difficult place to play, given the hostile atmosphere and intensity. Plus, Nottingham Forest have shown signs of improvement under Sean Dyche, which makes this fixture a tricky test for Tottenham.
TalkSPORT host Jeff Stelling feels Nottingham Forest will overcome Tottenham at the City Ground. He expects the Tricky Trees to hand Thomas Frank’s side their second away Premier League defeat in three matches, predicting a 2-1 win forthe hosts.
“Despite Dyche’s arrival at Forest, they’re still in trouble,” Jeff Stelling said on talkSPORT.
“I think they’ll certainly get out of it, but they have to travel to Europe in midweek, while Spurs stayed at home.
“Xavi Simons has finally come to the party as far as Tottenham are concerned, but Forest did the double in this fixture last season and I think they can just shade this one again.”
Forest were in Europa League action in midweek against FC Utrecht in the Netherlands. And the fact that they won 2-1 away will give Dyche’s team a lot of confidence heading into the game against Tottenham. Of course, playing Thursday-Sunday is difficult for a team not boasting a bigger squad, but the winning momentum matters a lot.
In front of their supporters, Forest will pose a significant threat to Frank’s side. The visitors have shown signs of getting back to form, with attackers Xavi Simons, Richarlison and Mohammed Kudus clicking. If the trio perform to their potential, Spurs can cause Forest plenty of problems and beat them.
