Lucas Paqueta has been in Tottenham’s radar for a while.

Tottenham Hotspur have had a mixed season so far. They have struggled to create many chances in the attacking half of the pitch. Thus, leading them to win just seven games out of their 19 in the Premier League. Spurs have been looking for squad depth; they are lacking a ball-winning midfielder who can travel box to box as well. As per reports are interested in signing in-demand Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta.

The lack of creativity in the midfield and the attacking part has caused problems at the back as well. The West Ham midfielder has been linked with the London club since the summer. There have also been reports of German midfielder Leon Goretzka and English footballer Conor Gallagher in the interest of Thomas Frank. The Hammers are interested in selling if they receive an offer, around €30m (£25-26m).

Paqueta, who was heavily in demand during the summer window, including talks of swaps or loans. But deals were far from being done as he stayed at the West London club. West Ham is currently at the bottom of the table and fighting a relegation battle. The Boy Hotspur’s substack understands that he is set to explore new challenges. He was previously linked with Flamengo, Manchester United, and Aston Villa.

In the summer, Fabrizio Romano confirmed Tottenham’s enquiries, stating that Paqueta was open to a move in Europe despite having options from Saudi clubs. Spurs have yet to make a formal bid, and these reports appear to be in early stages. Paqueta has also been released from the fixing charges. The Danish manager has been under pressure from the fans as they want clarity, and they want a player who can be a game-changer for the side.

Except for Spurs, Goretzka have strong interest from Italy and Spain. Despite having the likes of Xavi Simons, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Joao Palhinha. After the exit of Brenan Johnson, Tottenham have actively looking for wingers on the left. Savinho, Rodrygo, Christos Tzolis, and Yan Diamonde have been on the list for the wingers. West Ham, who have already lost Mohammed Kudus to the North London club, will demand a high fee to let go of one of their key players.
