Tottenham Hotspur has been in poor form under Thomas Frank this season.
Tottenham Hotspur has been looking to reinforce their squad in every department in the winter transfer window. The main priority is being a winger. The Lilywhites have really struggled to find a way to score goals this season under the Danish manager. They are winless in their last three games in the new year, with two draws and one loss. With wingers lined up as an interest for the club, they have added a new name.
The North London club has shown interest in signing Sani Suleiman from AS Trencin. Spurs have been keeping an eye on the 19-year-old Nigerian in recent weeks. However, as per recent reports from journalist Rudy Galetti (via X), the club has regained its interest in Suleiman. He can be a perfect fit for the Danish manager, as Spurs have been looking for someone who can play on the left and is also comfortable playing on the right.
Tottenham reignites interest in Nigerian teenager Sani Suleiman

The Nigerian already has 7 goal contributions this season, with Spurs having lacked attacking creativity this season is desperate to get a winger, and the pace and skills of Suleiman in the final third can solve the problems for the side. The 19-year-old has the most progressive ball carries per 90 minutes of any teenager outside of Europe’s top five leagues this season (5.4). Apart from the London club, the young winger has interest from RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen, as they have entered the race and are making progress in talks, as he could cost around €6m.
With the two other German clubs entering the race, it could be tricky for Tottenham if they can reach an agreement with the Nigerian winger’s club in the coming days. Except for him, the Spurs have other wingers linked with Savinho, Kevin Schade, and Christos Tzolis, Ademola Lookman, Nico Williams, and Maghnes Akliouche, who are all being assessed.
Amidst all the reports Spurs have lined up for their first signing in the January transfer window, 19-year-old Brazilian left-back Souza from Santos has agreed terms with the London club and will be making his way any time soon. Spurs have been active in the market to secure their left side of the pitch.
