Thomas Frank is under-fire following Tottenham’s poor run of form.
The pressure on Thomas Frank has continued to rise, given how the Danish head coach has been struggling to steady the ship at N17 after what has been a deeply underwhelming first half of the season.
That 3-2 defeat against Bournemouth in the midweek summed things up perfectly. We have seen the Lilywhites showing fight and moments of quality here and there but still finding a way to lose. And that has been more of a norm all season. It is reflected in the fact that they sit 14th in the Premier League table after accumulating only 27 points in 21 gameweeks.
Now while this sense of return is okay for a midtable club, it is simply not acceptable for a club that has European ambitions.
We know how injuries have been a massive part of the season at Hotspur Way, and Frank (much like his predecessor Ange Postecoglou) deserves some sympathy on that front.
However, sympathy only stretches too far, given how we have seen one too many performances lacking that structure and clarity, especially when playing at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. And responsibility for this ultimately rests with the man on the touchline.
And as headlines around his place at N17 start to get bigger and bolder with every new issue, Tottenham have been linked with other head coaches, seen more as contingency plans if Frank were to be sacked.
Odds show a new contender to replace Thomas Frank

Now, amid new twists and turns, Enzo Maresca has come up as a genuine contender for his signature. After recently departing Chelsea, the former Man City assistant is now without a club and available, which places him firmly into the conversation at Hotspur Way.
Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara already spoke about Maresca being a good stylistic fit at Tottenham. And it looks like bookmakers appear to agree with him. According to Tottenham Hotspur News, Maresca has now entered the top tier of candidates at odds of 8/1, making him the fourth favourite to take over the reins from Frank at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (behind Oliver Glasner, Marco Silva and Jurgen Klopp)
Is Frank living on borrowed time?

We do think that Tottenham should not take the Manchester United and Chelsea way with Thomas Frank. But the patience has been wearing thin among the stakeholders at Hotspur Way, and a sack wouldn’t be too big a surprise for many Tottenham supporters.
But that being said, would you take Enzo Maresca at N17 if Frank were to be sacked? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
