Luka Vuskovic is on loan at Bundesliga club Hamburger SV.
Tottenham Hotspur have a highly acclaimed young player in Luka Vuskovic. He is so good that fans were calling for him to be given a run in the first team after the 18-year-old impressed in the pre-season ahead of the season.
But given that minutes would be hard to come by his way with Micky van de Ven taking up the left centre-back role at Hotspur Way, he was sent away on loan to Bundesliga side Hamburger SV.
And the teenager has continued to showcase his ability for his temporary employers in the ongoing campaign, and in a recent interview he has once again made it clear that he would welcome the chance to remain at Volksparkstadion beyond the end of his ongoing loan spell.
Luka Vuskovic expresses desire to continue at Hamburger

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Rheinische Post, he went on to speak about his desire to continue his development in Germany, as he cherishes the opportunity to play alongside his brother, which is apparently playing a major role in his preference.
HSV will be keen to keep hold of Vuskovic, and it looks like the feeling is clearly mutual. A major reason for his desire to stay is the fact that he gets a chance to play alongside his older brother, Mario Vuskovic.
Mario, at the time of writing, is suspended until November. This means that Luka will not be able to share the pitch with his older brother this season. And despite his suspension, Luka has regularly spoken about playing with his sibling and has not been hiding his hope of playing with Mario donning that Hamburg badge next year.
He said (to Rheinische Post via Sport Witness):
“It’s my dream to play with Mario here at the HSV.
“I love this club and the fans. I personally can’t think of a better scenario. We (him and Tottenham) have a good exchange and will decide together on the next right step.”

For Tottenham, the club would surely be keeping a close eye on his progress in Germany this season. Given that his long-term future surely lies in North London, the defender’s comments show that there is a high likelihood that a possible extended stay at HSV can end up being an ideal next step in his career.
It is also to be seen if the Lilywhites would be prepared to sanction another loan for him given that there is a need for defensive depth, especially if Radu Dragusin were to leave this winter.
