Tottenham Hotspur are in a critical phase, both on the field as well off it.
Tottenham Hotspur have been undergoing a major backroom restructuring after Daniel Levy bid adieu to the North Londoners earlier this season. And while many thought that this would mean Fabio Paratici would not make his way to North London, given how close he was with the former business chairman, talks with Vinai Venkatsham proved to be pivotal in making it otherwise.
Tottenham chief had his last game at helm at N17 against Villa yesterday

Tottenham did manage to get Paratici back at Hotspur Way in an official capacity. But that could end up not being a long haul, as this week can end up marking the end of his time at Spurs, as reports suggest he could be closing in on a return to Serie A.
According to La Nazione, via Labaro Viola, the former Juventus chief is facing a “decisive week” as he looks to complete formalities to aid a move to Fiorentina.
The report states that there is only an official announcement pending as they wait for the 53-year-old to terminate his contract with Tottenham before announcing his appointment.
The Lilywhites’ clash against Aston Villa earlier today was cited as a possible final involvement for Paratici with the club in an official capacity. This is quite an indication of how close things are behind the scenes.
Paratici influence is already felt at Fiorentina

While the contractual details are being finalised, Paratici has already been heavily involved behind the scenes at Fiorentina. The report goes on to state that the 52-year-old is operating as an external consultant at the moment, which helps him effectively pull the strings in the transfer business that the Serie A side does before his official arrival.
And it looks like that influence has already been felt at Artemio Franchi Stadium. And this recent move for Manor Solomon, who signed for them from Tottenham, already looks like the first deal of the Paratici era, given how the Israel international went on to cut short his loan spell at Villarreal to join Fiorentina on loan. His loan also has an option which can aid the Serie A giants to make his presence a permanent one at the end of the season.
And while the final paperwork is completed as expected, this week should bring more sense of clarity on Paratici’s future. And by the looks of it, yesterday’s defeat to Aston Villa could be his final involvement in an official capacity at Hotspur Way.
