Tottenham Hotspur have struggled with injuries and suspensions this season.
Tottenham Hotspur are having a difficult 2025/26 season as Thomas Frank juggles injuries with inconsistency and a lack of attacking inspiration in a roster that he is struggling to inspire. While that was not enough, the faulting home form has left the Dane scratching his head.
But we are in January, and there is hope that the club can deliver a few offensive signings that can help Frank unlock those attacking sequences. But while that materialises, those North Londoners have also started putting a blueprint into place for what could be a significant rebuild when the summer window comes around. If that happens, Man City wide forward Jack Grealish can again emerge as a high-profile option that the Lilywhites could consider.
Tottenham enter the conversation for Grealish again

According to a recent report from the Tottenham Hotspur News, the North Londoners are said to be among the clubs looking at the England international’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window. The 30-year-old has been playing like himself from his Villa days in his loan spell with Everton.
And this influence for the Merseyside Blues, where he has already notched up a couple of goals alongside six assists in 17 Premier League starts, shows that there is still a lot that he has to give.
This is where the city’s openness to sell him for a fee of around £30m makes a lot of noise.

But Everton are also said to be looking to make his presence a permanent one at Hill Dickinson Stadium. While David Moyes’ side are leading the race, the Lilywhites do have a long-standing admiration for Grealish, given that they have been looking at him since his days in the Villa academy, and Tottenham could revisit those admirations when summer comes around.
This is not the first time Grealish has been linked with a move to North London. Before his eventual move to Manchester City, Tottenham had a strong interest in him. Daniel Levy even put in a £25m bid for him back in 2018. And Grealish also went on to admit his disappointment at missing out on moving to Tottenham at the time. His hint was towards how being at N17 could have accelerated his England career.

At his age (30), Grealish is more of a short-term solution than a long-term ambition. But looking at how many young prospects Tottenham are already pursuing, Jack could be a key cog who can deliver immediate results on the pitch (which is something Tottenham desperately need at the moment).
We will have to see if Tottenham works on these ambitions when summer comes around.
