Club insider reveals two more PL clubs have entered the race for €60m rated Tottenham target from Brentford

Tottenham are hoping to bring in attacking reinforcements in the ongoing transfer window.

Tottenham fans have lost patience after the club suffered yet another home defeat in the Premier League this weekend. The Lilywhites fell short against arch rivals West Ham United, with a superb goal from Crysencio Summerville and a last-minute tap-in from Callum Wilson proving decisive. There were clear signs throughout the game that the North Londoners struggled to create chances and were consistently outrun and outpaced by the Hammers.

The result has pushed Thomas Frank’s job at N17 into further jeopardy. However, it is important to note that the Danish tactician has had to deal with wholesale changes during his time in North London. Several key players have underperformed for large parts of the campaign, while the club’s injury crisis has not helped his cause either. Players such as James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus, Richarlison and Lucas Bergvall have all spent time on the sidelines this season.

The onus now falls on the Spurs hierarchy to bring in players who can instantly elevate the attack’s quality for the remainder of the campaign. The Lilywhites did secure the signing of Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid on a long-term deal earlier this week. He was brought in to provide depth and stability in the middle of the park for Frank’s side. Now, it is crucial that the North Londoners turn their attention towards adding attacking reinforcements in the coming weeks.

Tottenham face competition to land Brentford star Kevin Schade in the winter

Tottenham are hoping to add more depth in attack for the second half of the campaign. As a result, the Lilywhites are reported to have shown interest in Brentford star Kevin Schade as they look to bolster their forward options and add a different dynamic in the final third. Thomas Frank is keen on a reunion with the German international and wants Spurs to push hard for his signature.

Spurs, however, may have to fend off strong competition to secure the 24-year-old’s services. As per Mark Brus (via Caught Offside), both Newcastle United and Aston Villa are keen on signing Schade for the second half of the campaign. The two clubs are looking to strengthen their attacks as they aim to secure European qualification this season. The journalist also adds that Brentford would only consider a potential sale if the German international’s €60m valuation is met during the winter window.

The Bees have no intention of losing one of their standout players midway through the season. Keith Andrews’ men are pushing for European qualification and are currently punching above their weight in the Premier League. Schade has formed an impressive partnership with Igor Thiago in attack, making them one of the most dynamic duos in the league this season. As a result, securing the German international’s signature in January could prove to be an uphill task for Spurs.

A good signing for Tottenham?

At just 24, Kevin Schade has already shown that he is ready to take the next step in his career and represent a bigger club in the near future. He recently scored a Premier League hat-trick against Bournemouth last month, before registering two more assists in recent games. He is in fine form and would add a different dimension to the Spurs attack should he make the move in the coming weeks.

With Mohammed Kudus injured and Brennan Johnson now playing for Crystal Palace, signing Schade could be a no-brainer for the Lilywhites. The 24-year-old’s electric pace and elite dribbling ability make him an attractive option on the wing. His previous working relationship with Thomas Frank would also benefit Spurs, as he would be able to settle quickly at N17 and make an instant impact for the club.
