Is Thomas Frank on the brink? – Tottenham schedule decisive press conference

It does look like Thomas Frank is on borrowed time at Hotspur Way. Things got quite toxic at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the Lilywhites found themselves on the losing side (FT: 2-1) to West Ham United last weekend. It is a loss which has apparently pushed the chiefs at N17 to breaking point.

To get a gist of how things are going, just a feel of the atmosphere inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon was enough to tell a story. There were loud chants by a wide section of fans calling for Thomas Frank to be sacked before the final whistle. It does look like most of the supporters have reached their boiling point.

Tottenham have endured a difficult season

Tottenham (at the time of writing) are placed 14th in the Premier League table alongside being out of both domestic cup competitions. This sense of belief looks completely drained out of the supporters as well as the squad.

Thomas Frank did in front of the media with a brave face after the game against the Hammers. Though when you look behind the scenes, the situation looks far more serious.

Given that the Lilywhites wanted to stick with the Dane initially and allow the 52-year-old to find his way out of the ongoing crisis. But the scale of the collapse that we have seen at Tottenham in the past weeks, complemented by this toxic mood around the club, may end up having forced the board’s hand.

Tottenham press conference: Will Frank be there?

According to reports via. Tottenham Hotspur News, Tottenham are now actively weighing up whether to dismiss the Dane head coach ahead of the Lilywhites game against Borussia Dortmund tomorrow. While he is still set to take training on Monday, but given that there is a press conference scheduled at Hotspur Way later in the day and the club refusing to confirm whether he will even appear, the writing appears to be on the wall.

Frank’s record since he took charge of proceedings at Hotspur Way is becoming impossible to defend. He has a win rate going around the mid-30% mark (18% at home). And then you put in all those humiliating home defeats. It adds up. There is a complete lack of momentum which has left the North Londoners drifting aimlessly along the ongoing 2025/26 season.

And the most damaging of all is the sense that it doesn’t look like his players are convinced by what they are being asked to do.

All eyes will be on the press conference now. And if Frank appears or he doesn’t…
