Tottenham are desperately crying out for attacking reinforcements this month.
Tottenham Hotspur focused on strengthening their attack last summer, aiming to build on their Europa League success. They brought in players such as Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Randal Kolo Muani to add depth to the forward line.
Now, the Lilywhites’ position has become more or less the same. The club chiefs sold Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace at the start of the January transfer window, before Thomas Frank was dealt a double injury blow to Mohammed Kudus and Richarlison. These incidents have left the north Londoners extremely thin as far as the options in attack are concerned.
Tottenham have shown an interest in Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb. After Manchester City signed Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth earlier this month, Oscar Bobb has been surplus to requirements for Pep Guardiola. He has made 15 appearances this season, mostly from the bench.
However, Spurs aren’t the only side keen on Bobb’s services.

Fulham enter race to sign Man City winger Oscar Bobb
According to a report from BBC Sport, Fulham have opened talks with Man City to sign Bobb. Dialogue has happened between the clubs, but Fulham are yet to table a formal offer. Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund also have the 22-year-old as one of their targets.
One potential complication is that Bobb is sidelined with a muscle injury. The Norway international was forced off early in the 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Brentford in December and hasn’t featured since for the Sky Blues.
As per TEAMtalk journalist Dean Jones, Bobb is one of the City players Tottenham have looked at. The 22-year-old is perhaps the one City player who could be “up for grabs”.
“They’ve looked at a few Man City players; Oscar Bobb is probably the one Man City player that could be up for grabs. I’m not convinced that that’s where they’re turning right now,” Jones told TEAMtalk.

Should Tottenham act?
Tottenham have recently been reported to be preparing a €50million offer for the young City winger. However, Fulham having direct talks with City over Bobb spells bad news for Spurs in desperate need of attacking reinforcements. Even if the north London outfit maintains interest in the player, a potential deal would not be straightforward now following the Cottagers’ entry.
Bobb is someone who can operate on both wings, is technically strong, creative on the ball and unpredictable. The Norwegian talent has a sweet left foot and would be a fantastic option to compete with Kudus when he returns from injury. At Fulham, though, the City winger might struggle to get regular minutes following the presence of Harry Wilson and the return of Samuel Chukwueze from the AFCON.
That said, if Spurs feel Bobb could make a difference to their attacking unit, we must table an offer.
