The Dutchman is valued at around £25m by the Hammers, who remain determined not to lose a key player as they continue to battle relegation.
The same report claims that Summerville’s recent performance against Spurs caught the attention of the club’s recruitment team. The 24-year-old was one of the standout performers for West Ham, tormenting the North London club, scoring the opening goal in their 2-1 victory over the Lilywhites at N17. He is viewed as a potential long-term solution to Tottenham’s left-wing problems, given his age and considerable potential.
Crysencio Summerville’s arrival to have consequences at Tottenham?
Despite West Ham’s struggles in the Premier League this season, Summerville has been a bright spark for the Hammers under Nuno Espirito Santo. The Dutchman has established himself as a constant threat in the final third by driving the ball forward and attempting to create opportunities for his teammates. He also possesses an attacking flair that allows him to glide past defenders with ease, aided by his elite dribbling ability.
Signing the 24-year-old would likely spell the end of Mathys Tel’s chances under Thomas Frank this season.
