Tottenham were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The North Londoners suffered another defeat this weekend as Manchester United delivered the goods at Old Trafford to hand Tottenham a dropped-point matchday. This is becoming more of a norm at Hotspur Way, as this was the seventh consecutive Premier League game for Spurs without a win.
The loss to Michael Carrick & Co. has left Thomas Frank under massive pressure. So much so that the fans in the away end yesterday were chanting their minds loud as Mauricio Pochettino’s name rang around M16.
This leaves the Dane’s future up in the air, but alongside the former Brentford manager, there are also a few senior players in that roster whose future remains in doubt. Among them is a star forward who looked like he had rejuvenated his time at Tottenham at the start of this season, but it has been the same old since…
Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison transfer backed to shift transfer dealings in South America
The 10 G/A Richy has been heavily linked with a possible return to Everton in the past few windows. But he always ends up staying put at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. And let’s be honest, his start to the season was one of the bare highlights of this bleak campaign at N17, wherein in 13 Premier League starts, Richarlison scored seven goals. He is still Spurs’ leading scorer across all competitions this season.
However, according to a recent report from Fichajes, “the South American transfer market is about to witness a seismic shift” as Flamengo plan an ambitious move to take the 28-year-old back to his home country when the upcoming summer window comes around.
We already saw them prising away a move for Paqueta from under Spurs’ noses in the winter window, and it looks like they have now set their eyes on Richy.
The aforementioned report further goes on to state that Richarlison has already set his sights on getting a fresh start away from North London. And given that he took his first steps into his professional career in Brazil, a return back to his home country is stated to be an appealing option for him.
Roster revamp at Hotspur Way?
The 28-year-old may not be the only high-profile name who is considering an exit, though. The likes of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are also second-guessing their time at Tottenham, and that could see the roster undergo a massive overhaul.
