Ex-Tottenham boss Thomas Frank may quickly land himself a job in the Premier League.
Tottenham Hotspur are on the lookout for a new manager after Thomas Frank was sacked on Wednesday morning after just eight months in charge in N17.
The Dane had been under intense pressure for several weeks, even months, with Tottenham winless in the Premier League in 2026 and just five points clear of the relegation zone following a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday night. Following a run of two wins in 17 Premier League matches that has left them 16th in the Premier League table, the Lewis Family decided to dismiss the 52-year-old.
The defeat to Newcastle heightened Spurs’ relegation fears, and despite the owners initially backing Thomas Frank to turn things around, they were forced to pull the plug. Tottenham supporters had grown increasingly frustrated with Thomas Frank over the last few months, and a new revelation will do little to change their opinion of their former gaffer.
Thomas Frank frontrunners to take the Crystal Palace job
According to an exclusive report from Football Insider, Thomas Frank has been contacted by Crystal Palace to become their next boss. Intermediaries have touched Frank’s camp over a potential move, and the Dane is viewed among the favourites to replace Oliver Glasner.
Oliver Glasner has already announced that he will be leaving Crystal Palace at the end of the season when his contract expires. Interestingly, he is one of the top candidates linked with a move to Tottenham, whose former boss is now deemed front-runners to make the switch across the capital. Frank spent eight-and-a-half years at Brentford in west London, so staying in the capital would hold great attraction.
The ex-Spurs tactician will have an immediate shot at redemption if he lands the Crystal Palace job. The timing may be a bit odd, given the Dane’s stock is at rock bottom following a forgettable league campaign at White Hart Lane that led to his sacking. The report adds that the Eagles will have Frank as the ‘perfect fit’ to replace Glasner due to his impressive work for more than seven years on a shoestring budget at Brentford.
The marriage of convenience between Spurs and Frank was officially over on Wednesday. The Lilywhites did not make much progress under him, and after the chaos and toxicity that had engulfed the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in recent months, the club decided he was not the right man to take them forward.
Spurs fans will be focused on knowing who their next gaffer is, and at the same time, must be keeping an eye on Frank’s next destination.
