Manchester United favourites to sign Tottenham summer target who scored the last goal at Goodison Park

United growing favourites to land Tottenham target from Everton.

Alongside Arsenal and Chelsea, Tottenham show a lot of interest in landing Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, who, by the day, seems more likely to join Manchester United over any of the London clubs. That is as per Manchester World.

Spurs linked with Ndiaye sounds nice on paper, but right now that is all it is. Paper talk. In reality, Spurs are in no position to be leading races for £70m attacking midfielders while sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League and staring nervously at the relegation line.

Ndiaye, who scored the last goal at Goodison Park, has quietly had an impressive season under David Moyes at Everton, returning five goals and two assists in 22 appearances and looking sharper with each passing month. He carries the ball well, presses aggressively, and has the kind of directness Spurs have badly lacked in wide and central attacking areas. It is not surprising that Manchester United are frontrunners, especially if they are planning long-term succession around Bruno Fernandes.

Not happening with this form.

Clubs sign players like Ndiaye when they are building from a position of strength. When there is a clear tactical identity. When European football is likely. When the project feels upward. Spurs right now offer none of those guarantees.

Being named alongside Chelsea and Arsenal in an “interested” list does not mean much. Tottenham can admire. They can monitor. They can hold internal discussions. But until performances improve dramatically, they are not convincing elite-level attackers that North London is the best next step.

Ndiaye himself has hinted at ambition, saying interest from Manchester United shows he is doing something right. That kind of comment matters. A side drifting in 15th or 16th place is not an attractive destination for the 25-year-old or for anyone entering his prime with Champions League aspirations.

If Spurs want even a semi-decent summer window, the next few weeks are critical. Results must improve. The mood must stabilise. The club barely has any kind of leverage going into a summer window with this kind of football.
