The backroom staff quit Tottenham role after Igor Tudor appointment.
John Heitinga’s Tottenham chapter has ended almost as quickly as it began, with the Dutchman leaving just 33 days after arriving as assistant coach. The timing says everything about how turbulent things have been in North London. Thomas Frank is gone. Igor Tudor is in on an interim basis, and the reset behind the scenes begins.
Here is the official report from The Athletic. Heitinga chose not to remain as part of Tudor’s new coaching structure, a decision that underlines how clean this break is from the previous regime. Frank lasted only eight months of a three-year deal before seeing himself dismissed, and those who followed him through the door have now largely followed him out. The message is clear. This is Tudor’s operation now, even if it is only scheduled to run until the end of the season.
Tudor officially began work on Monday and has quickly installed his own trusted lieutenants. Ivan Javorcic joins as assistant coach, with Riccardo Ragnacci overseeing physical preparation and Tomislav Rogic taking charge of the goalkeepers.

More departures follow John Heitinga
All three have worked with Tudor before, most recently during his time at Juventus, and that familiarity will be crucial as he tries to stabilise a club wobbling dangerously close to the relegation zone.
The departures do not stop with Heitinga. Justin Cochrane and Chris Haslam have also left. Both were part of Frank’s inner circle, having joined him from Brentford last summer. Cochrane, who previously worked in Tottenham’s academy, will now focus on his role within Thomas Tuchel’s England setup ahead of the World Cup, while Haslam moves on after a short and chaotic stint in North London.
Not everyone follows suit. Set-piece coach Andreas Georgson and individual development coach Cameron Campbell remain in place, offering at least some continuity. GK coach Fabian Otte also continues to stay with Rogic arriving to work alongside him, suggesting a layered approach rather than wholesale change in that department.
Tudor now has his own team around him, but the clock is ticking and the margin for error is thin.
