Tottenham Injury Update: Squad fitness ahead of Fulham clash as absentees still stay in the double-digits

Tottenham Hotspur Injury Update – Craven Cottage calling.

Spurs’ injury situation remains brutal even after the North London derby, and it says everything about the state of the Tottenham squad that Igor Tudor only had around 13 senior players he could properly rely on against Arsenal. Spurs competed well for long stretches and showed more fight than they had in weeks, but the reality is that effort alone is not enough when so many key players are unavailable.

The return of Dominic Solanke and Richarlison from illness was a welcome boost, even if both could only make appearances from the bench, and Tudor will be hoping the treatment room finally starts to clear in the coming weeks.

Here’s a comprehensive update on the fitness of the entire squad as per The Standard.

Another London game up!

Pedro Porro is among the closest to a return after missing the last five matches with a hamstring problem picked up in the 2-2 draw with Burnley. There had been some hope that he might be involved against Arsenal, but that proved too soon, and the trip to Fulham now looks like a more realistic target.

Lucas Bergvall continues his recovery from ankle surgery following the Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund in January. There has been encouraging progress, with the midfielder now out of his protective boot and moving through rehabilitation. Should be back by late March / early April.

Kevin Danso is also moving closer to a comeback after suffering ligament damage in his big toe against Eintracht Frankfurt. His absence has stung even more sharply with skipper Cristian Romero suspended, leaving Spurs stretched at centre-back during a difficult run of fixtures. The defender has already consulted with specialists and is only a few weeks away, with a return around late February or early March.

So a potential Danso and Porro return might see Spurs get a dual-injury boost over a defence that conceded a dismal 2.36xG against Arsenal.

Destiny Udogie remains sidelined after suffering another hamstring injury in the defeat at Manchester United. The left-back has endured a stop-start season with repeated fitness setbacks. Not back until mid-March.

Kudus, Odobert, Kulusevski, Bentancur, Ben Davies, and James Maddison are among the long-term absentees, with none of them in line to appear for Spurs this season ahead of spring. Among those, Bentancur remains first in line to return to action.
