Dejan Kulusevski has been sidelined for a pretty long time now.
The new interim boss, Igor Tudor, has good news about the Swedish winger, Dejan Kulusevski, after months on the sidelines. Tudor walked right into a massive injury crisis at Hotspur Way. Kulusevski has not played a single match since May 11, after he suffered a severe knee injury against Crystal Palace last season and missed the Europa League final.
Fans fear he might miss the rest of the year entirely. Tudor worked with Kulusevski back at Juventus. He knows exactly what the player brings. He told reporters things are finally looking up for the 25-year-old.
“I know Deki from Juventus. Fantastic player, fantastic guy,” Tudor told reporters. “Difficult moment. He has had really big problems, as you know, here. But he is positive. And also, the doctors are positive. So we will see, next week, how it is going.”
Spurs are in an utter mess. Finding a way to stop the rot is the primary objective. Rushing a star player back makes no sense. Tudor kept expectations completely grounded when asked if the Swede will play before May. “We hope so. In this moment, I do not know,” the 47 year old added.
All focus on the Fulham game for Tottenham
The North Londoners are not the only ones tracking his recovery. Sweden manager Graham Potter is watching the situation closely. His national side has a crucial World Cup playoff clash against Ukraine next month. Potter recently admitted he wants his star attacker back on the pitch. “Right now, we are just keeping our fingers crossed, and hopefully we can get some of those guys back,” Potter explained.
Tottenham have not won a single league match in 2026. Hearing positive news from the Tudor is a massive relief for the N17 and Lillywhites. Getting the winger back on the grass is vital for Spurs’ survival. Until the medical team clears him, the team just has to show they want the three points more than the hosts on Sunday.
