Tudor already changing his philosophies, has he lost it already? – Former Everton star ‘worried’ for Tottenham

Tottenham suffered a 2-1 defeat against Fulham.

It looks like life at Hotspur Way is already turning turbulent for Igor Tudor as he gets a look at exactly where the roster at his disposal stands following back-to-back defeats against Arsenal and Fulham. This has left Tottenham Hotspur edging closer to what looks like a relegation battle going into the final stride of the ongoing 2025/26 campaign.

While Richarlison did score a consolation goal at Craven Cottage, everything was too little too late as Tottenham were supposedly second best for most of the game last weekend. And while many let that Arsenal performance slide given how the Gunners are dominating at the top of the table, the fans as well as the pundits were quick to reach after the Lilywhites defeat to Fulham.

Leon Osman calls out Tudor in a blunt assessment after Fulham loss

Speaking on Match of the Day (via. Tottenham News), former Everton midfielder Leon Osman was quite blunt when speaking about the defensive structure that Tottenham deployed against the Cottagers. He said:

“Really worrying for Tottenham Hotspur in the way that they defended. They started with a back four, and they kept finding themselves in the wrong positions.

“They don’t look coached, they don’t look organised, I’m really starting to get worried for them.”

Osman in right about that. Tudor is known for his back three formation and that is where he made his mark across all the teams he has coached but he is in his second game at Tottenham and it looks like he is already stepping away from his philosophies. That decision to spelt back four raised a lot of eyebrows from the supporters. It looks like the Croat has decided to learn at job.

This lack of continuity at display is concerning given that it looks like Tottenham are searching rather than building right now and with upcoming games against Crystal Palace, Atlético Madrid and Liverpool, that margin for error is rapidly shrinking at N17.

And while it may seem a question too premature to ask right now but the context makes Tudor’s position at the helm at N17 fragile as Tottenham continue to slide towards that relegation zone with confidence in the squad as well as among the fans quite low. And then, you see there is no sign of tactical clarity as well (which adds to frustrations).

If performances do not improve quickly, Tudor’s job at hand and the pressure to keep that will continue to rise. But right now, Tottenham look like a team who don’t have a sense of identity and are in a relegation fight, which can end up bring fatal.
