He is enjoying the most productive season of his N17 career with seven goals and an assist in 34 appearances. The Dutch star’s all-round impressive displays have not gone unnoticed in Real Madrid’s offices.
Los Blancos are planning a defensive revamp in the summer, and they have the Tottenham man high on their shortlist. Whether Real Madrid will match Tottenham’s £100 million valuation remains uncertain, particularly with Liverpool and other European clubs circling. The Spanish giants must move decisively to secure Van de Ven’s signature if they feel he is the right man to bolster their defensive backline.
