Igor Tudor is under huge pressure ahead of Tottenham’s home game against Crystal Palace.

Igor Tudor has got a big reality check after seeing his Tottenham Hotspur side dismantled by Arsenal and Fulham in back-to-back London derbies.

Spurs are four points above the drop zone, having failed to win a league game in 2026. Relegation would see some Spurs players have their wages cut, amongst other problems, but Igor Tudor is confident that the club will stay in the top flight come the end of the season. As a result, he does not speak about Tottenham’s relegation prospects to his players.

The Lilywhites losing 2-1 to Fulham on Sunday has intensified the criticism of Tudor. Truth be told, the Croat has done little to improve the North London club’s fortunes since he replaced Thomas Frank at the helm last month. Instead, he criticised the players for “lacking in every department” after the Fulham defeat. Before the game, the interim boss was vocal about his players not being physically up to the level to compete.

TalkSPORT pundits react to reports suggesting the sacking of Igor Tudor

Recent reports suggest that already under-fire Tudor now faces being sacked if Spurs do not improve in the coming weeks. The club have backup plans in place. The club cannot afford to get relegated!

TalkSPORT presenter Max Rushden and journalist John Brewin have now reacted to the rumours that Tudor could be sacked by the Tottenham board if he fails to beat Crystal Palace on Thursday evening.

Max Rushden: “Igor Tudor could be sacked by Spurs if he fails to beat Palace this Thursday. Sources say the club’s board is already concerned about recent performances, yeah, I mean and the rest of us. A win on Thursday could ease the pressure; anything less Spurs may decide to make a change. I mean, this is farcical.”

John Brewin: “He has lost the dressing room already, it would appear. It’s amazing what Tottenham can do to managers, isn’t it? You know, there is a lot of talk isn’t there that Pochettino would like to return there after managing the United States at this summer’s World Cup. Surely, he knows more than everyone else what Tottenham can do to people. I mean, the thing is, Tottenham have failed to heed the warning of last season. That is my view.”

Having said that, however, Brewin claimed that he cannot confirm the story, suggesting that Tudor will be gone if Spurs fail to beat Crystal Palace.

Brewin: “And I can’t verify that story about Igor Tudor departing, but the vibes are not good, and like last season, they are probably gonna be rescued by someone else.”

Spurs podcaster warns Igor Tudor of losing his job

Earlier this week, famous Spurs podcaster Ricky Sacks warned Tudor that he could be fired by the board if he fails to quickly improve the results.

Following his side’s defeat at Craven Cottage, the alarm bells are ringing at White Hart Lane. Directionless, hopeless and lost- that’s what the Lilywhites have looked under Tudor in two games. Tottenham have undoubtedly got worse in two games, and one wonders now whether the board will have a decision to make if they lose again at home to Palace in midweek.

If that happens and the Croatian is indeed sacked, then one would get a clearer idea of why the club rightly finds itself battling relegation.
