Tottenham have been hit with a boatload of injuries this season.
Tottenham have been on the receiving end of a lot of injury problems in the past couple of seasons. And the Lilywhites could have another defender added to the treatment table.

And the 21-year-old defender is said to have travelled back to the English capital so the medical staff at Hotspur Way can conduct further examination of the muscle strain that he has been having. This has forced him to miss out on the last couple of games.
Kota Takai to miss third game in a row?
Takai was among a few players that were missing for the German giants as they begin the prep to face St Pauli. He has already missed out on games against Bayern Munich and Union Berlin with injury, and it looks like he will miss yet another one.
The report goes on to state that the coaching staff at Gladbach believe that the Friday game could come too soon for him to recover and feature.
Given that there have been growing concerns with this problem, Tottenham have called him back to London to conduct more tests.
To add to worries, Borussia Monchengladbach head coach Eugen Polanski admitted that there are no clear timelines for Tokai to return. He said:
“He was running on Saturday. If he can’t train individually with the ball on the pitch today, it probably won’t be enough. But I’m happy to be proven wrong.”

Takai moved to Borussia Monchengladbach on a loan move in the winter transfer window as Tottenham wanted to give him some game time at the very top. And he has quickly become part of the squad rotation in the German top tier, with the young defender going on to make six appearances so far in the half of the campaign that he is spending donning the Gladbach badge.
But this latest injury setback now ends up threatening to interrupt his momentum, and the fact that both the clubs decided to have him monitored in London speaks a lot about how careful they are being with his injuries.
And for Tottenham, the priority will now be to make sure that Takai receives the right treatment before he returns to the pitch.
Ideally it is not about having Takai return back as soon as possible given he has already had his injury problems this season and Tottenham would not want that to continue going into the next season.
