Tottenham advised what they must do until a permanent manager is appointed at Hotspur Way

Several Tottenham players have been linked with an exit ahead of the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur are tottering just a point above the Premier League’s bottom three, and the morale of the squad is at an all-time low following the 5-2 thrashing at the hands of Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Igor Tudor’s appointment has not worked out at all, with the interim boss overseeing four defeats in as many games. The Croatian manager saw his Spurs side get blown away inside the opening 17 minutes against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg, conceding a string of avoidable goals that effectively killed the tie. It was just another display that highlighted just how disorganised and fragile the Lilywhites currently are.

Yet, that hasn’t stopped Spurs players from being linked with moves away from N17. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have been coveted by the Spanish clubs, while teenage prodigy Archie Gray is wanted by Bayern Munich. Full-back Djed Spence has emerged as a target for Juventus heading into the summer.

Ex-scout advises Tottenham to put hold on any sales until a new permanent manager is hired

This season, though, has been far from ideal for Tottenham as they face the real threat of relegation from the Premier League. If the unthinkable happens and they go down, it seems likely that several players will push to leave the club in the summer.

Now, ex-scout Bryan King has advised the North Londoners to put hold on any player sales until and unless the house is in order and a new head coach is hired.

“I’d be very reluctant to sell anybody until I know who the manager will be next season and what league they’ll be in,” Bryan King exclusively told Tottenham News.

“It looks like going down could mean a restructure for the whole club, both player-wise and manager-wise. If the worst scenario does happen, there will be changes from top to bottom.

“Talking about Spence or anybody else leaving is a load of rubbish because there’s nothing secure right now. Who’s even going to be running Spurs next season?”

Tottenham are determined to secure their top-flight status under Tudor, with the club keen to retain its key players ahead of next season. At present, it appears improbable that many of them, including Spence, would consider extending their stay at N17 if the Lilywhites fail to remain in the Premier League.

Bryan King is absolutely spot on here! The club certainly requires a reboot after back-to-back disastrous domestic campaigns. Without knowing in which league we are going to play next season or who will become the club’s next permanent manager/head coach, the hierarchy simply cannot make decisions on the futures of the players.

That said, only time will tell whether Tottenham manages to stay with the big boys or drops down to the Championship.
