Antonin Kinsky was subbed off inside 20 minutes against Atletico Madrid.
Tottenham Hotspur quite clearly have a goalkeeping problem, and if that was not clear before this week, that game against Atletico Madrid brought this quite to the surface.
Igor Tudor took this massive gamble by starting Antoin Kinsky at Riyadh Air Metropolitano, which could quite possibly be attributed to the criticism that Vicario has recently received. But the Czech international’s 1/10 performance meant that he was subbed off in the first half itself.

Now this has led the Lilywhites to look in the transfer market for a possible new goalkeeper, and they have landed in Paris. The North Londoners are said to be eyeing a move for Lucas Chevalier as Vinai & Co. looks to address this uncertainty in the goalkeeping department when this campaign goes into the off-season.
Tottenham looking at Ligue 1 for next #1
According to reports in France via. Sport Witness, the Lilywhites are already monitoring the situation of the 24-year-old Lucas Chevalier at Parc des Princes. The report goes on to state that the Lilywhites have already made initial contact exploring a possible move in the summer window.
Chevalier only joined PSG from Lille OSC in August 2025, but Luis Enrique has preferred Matvey Safonov between the posts, and Chevalier has been forced to sit on the bench in a backup role. The 24-year-old has only got five appearances under his belt this season and last featured in January against AJ Auxerre. And this is where the Lilywhites can take advantage of the situation and pursue a summer transfer for him.
Given that if his situation in Paris does not improve and Safonov continues to start, it will be easier to push Chevalier into a move to Hotspur Way, as he would be looking for a place where he can churn out regular minutes under his belt.
Why do Tottenham need Lucas Chevalier (or a new goalkeeper)
The interest in signing him comes not only because of the recent criticism of Guglielmo Vicario and that Kinsky substitution but also the fact that the former is looking to explore a transfer away from North London in the summer, which will ideally open a #1 place at Hotspur Way. And by what we saw of Kinksy, he could be done at Tottenham as well.
