Igor Tudor still remains winless at Tottenham.
The domestic misery at Hotspur Way continued into the European campaign as Atletico Madrid humiliated Igor Tudor & Co. to a point that the Lilywhites are staring in the face of a possible Champions League exit.
But while that first leg trail remains in the back of their mind, Spurs continue to pursue that domestic survival, but it is not an easy one this time around, as Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Anfield Stadium on Sunday knowing that the challenge awaiting them at L4 could hardly be any tougher.
A meeting with the Merseysiders away at their den is difficult at the best of times, but right now Tottenham are quite struggling in their skin given the ongoing run of six consecutive defeats in all competitions alongside that deep injury list which has been going into double figures for most of this season.
But when Tottenham arrive in Merseyside this weekend, there is this desperate search for some sense of stability since Igor Tudor took charge of the reins at N17.
The last time around that Tottenham went to L4, it was a brutal 5-1 defeat, and it is kind of a night that many Lilywhites supporters would want to avoid. But unfortunately, even this time around, Tottenham visits Merseyside in this kind of dampening form yet again.
That Tuesday night defeat (FT 5-2) against Atleti was quite a show of how the crisis runs deep at Hotspur Way.
While there is this headline talking about Tottenham’s form, Liverpool are not sailing all over as well. They also suffered a defeat in their midweek Champions League fixture away to Galatasaray. And then they have this pressure to qualify for the Champions League place as well, given how Liverpool fans have been frustrated with football under Slot this season.

Tottenham

While if the conversations would not have been about the form, it would have been about this injury crisis that Tottenham are having.
To start with, both Cristian Romero and Joao Palhinha will not be available for the game after they had a clash of heads in midweek which rules them out owing to concussion rules.
But to add to it, Micky van de Ven will serve his suspension after his recent red card against Crystal Palace.
Tudor also revealed in the pre-game press conference that “Bissouma has a problem and Conor [Gallagher] has a fever but we hope he will be ok.”
It does not end here for Tottenham. All of James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Lucas Bergvall will continue to serve the treatment table. And besides that, Udogie is still recovering from that thigh problem.
Liverpool

For the Reds, Alisson Becker will face a late fitness test after the Brazilian was forced to sit out their Champions League defeat to Galatasaray because of a muscle injury that he picked up in training before the game in the midweek. It does look like Mamardashvili will take his place in Liverpool’s starting lineup for the game.
Federico Chiesa is another one in the Mersysiders camp who will face a late decision after an illness that he suffered. Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley will be out with long-term knee problems while Wataru Endo and Alexander Isak join them in the treatment room for other leg problems.
Possible starting lineups
Liverpool: Mamardashvili; Frimpong, Konaté, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Wirtz; Ekitike
Tottenham: Vicario; Porro, Danso, Dragusin, Spence; Gray, Sarr; Tel, Simons, Richarlison; Solanke.
Prediction
Tottenham have been on a difficult run, and them going to Anfield in the midst of that looks like a difficult fixture to get a result from. A win here would no doubt be an inspiration for the Lilywhites to take on Atletico and get better of them when they visit London next week. But those three points at L4 look difficult today.
TTLB Prediction: Liverpool 3 – 1 Tottenham
