The loanee in question has been having a stellar season in Bundesliga.
With the current situation at Hotspur Way on the back of the inconvenient season that they had at N17, many of the Lilywhites players have been linked to a move away from Tottenham.
While there are a few that many Lilywhites supporters won’t mind seeing off, there is also a bunch where losing either some or all of them would make it frustrating for the fans.
One of those leading causes of frustration could be the future of Luka Vuskovic.
The Croat has been impressing in his loan spell at Hamburger SV, and that has led many elite clubs to push for a possible move for the teenager.
His quality could be seen in the pre-season itself, where it barely took a half for the whole Tottenham fans’ game to be celebrating having a talent of his potential.
Luka Vuskovic to pursue Hotspur Way exit?
But lately there have been talks in the rumour mill of a possible exit. These talks were pushed more into the fire when his father admitted that he is unsure of his son’s future, and it could lie far from Hotspur Way.
In today’s market, that is enough for big clubs to court your talents, especially when we are talking about someone who has the potential of Vuskovic.
And that is exactly what has happened.
Spanish giants Barcelona have reportedly already started discussions with his representatives as they look to pry him away from Hotspur Way.
Barcelona feel €40 million could be enough to tempt Tottenham into talks for Luka Vuskovic
According to reports from Spain by Fichajes, the Catalans are looking at the teenage centre back as a priority target going into the off-season, and they have already opened talks with his camp as they look to convince them for a transfer ahead of the upcoming window.
Tottenham do rate Vuskovic extremely highly, and he also has a contract at Hotspur Way that runs until 2030, making it enough for the Premier League giants to not be under immediate pressure to sell him.
But the aforementioned report states that Barcelona believe the current uncertainty around Tottenham can open the door to negotiations, especially given that the Lilywhites are battling near the bottom of the Premier League table. They feel that a bid in the region of €40 million could be enough to tempt Tottenham into sitting on the table.
We will see where this goes from here, but any transfer for him for the fee which is mentioned above will leave a lot of Tottenham supporters frustrated and fuming.
